Welcome to Danger UXB, Living History Special Effects!
At Danger UXB, we never lose sight that many re-enactments are based on real historical events and that people suffered and died.
But we also believe that to pay homage to their memory, future generations should know exactly what they went through when they were fighting.
With that in mind our war re-enactment displays are as accurate as we can make them.
They’re also the perfect way to wow the crowds.

As specialist battlefield display and event pyrotechnicians, we have a range of realistic effects available, from single shot to machine gun straffing, infantry combat demonstrations, tank and artillery battles, tactical combat, and large-scale paintball and airsoft battles . As well as Blowing up bombs and bridges and airbust and fireball explosions.
The effects we use aren’t traditional fireworks – they are specially designed pyrotechnics to provide explosive and high-impact audio and visual elements. Where the setting requires it, our battle re-enactments are loud!

Fireball Explosion.
Fireball explosions are the most spectacular of Battle Simulation effects, providing a great bang and a spectacular fireball.
They can be used for all kinds of Film and TV shoots as well as for Battle Simulation Effects and public demonstrations and can be created using both Pyrotechnic and High Explosive Lifts, so are quite scalable. For obvious reasons this is an effect that needs to be done by one of our qualified technicians . |
Groundburst
The ground burst is a large bang similar to a maroon but with a much deeper and louder bang. This adds a heightened sense of realism to training excises and displays.
The volatile flash mix is contained within a thick cardboard case, (can also be supplied in a waterproof plastic case for underwater use) and it is the pressure wave that creates the sound as the explosive charge inside the case bursts through. |
RIFLE FIRE & MACHINE GUN
Bullet hits falls into two main categories. The first being "on-body" and the second being hits on hard objects like trucks, walls or buildings. For on body hits we use Pyrotechnic Hit Squib systems, with blood bags for realistic impact. For hard object bullet hits we have various sized squibs with computer controlled firing equipment that can sequence up to 550 hits within a fraction of a second. |
