The "Lest We Forget" firework display opens with the iconic "Winstons Churchils speach" "The Battle Of Britain is about to begin"
The display opens with air raid sirens and search lights, then in the distance aircraft can be seen and heard in the night sky with the battle of Britain theme tune building up to the climax. The display RUNS continuously for 15 minutes and includes wartime classic music including 633 Squadron and 617 Dambuster squadron. The display ends with Winston Churchills speach " Never in the field of Human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few"! The firework display does not celebrate war, but remembers those who gave their lives so we can live ours. |
