Welcome to the Danger UXB site, I am a Pyrotechnician & EOD specialist as well as an author and historian with a passion for history and education, so why not join me and explore the world of the WW2 Home Front and bomb Disposal across Britain.
The life expectancy of a Bomb Disposal officer in 1940 was just ten weeks, but in those early months of the war on the Home Front it was nearer two weeks. The bomb disposal teams along with the ARP and Fire Service across Britain dealt with UXB's by the only means available to them. Often having to beg and borrow equipment, as well as scrounging transport to complete the job. This site recognises their extraordinary ingenuity, bravery and self- sacrifice. |
DANGER UXB is proud to announce the release of its new book
"Danger UXB High Wycombe" Danger UXB High Wycombe will be available from 1st November 2023, contact me for more information. Its now over eighty years since the Luftwaffe dropped the first bombs on London, but even after all that time the dangers of WW2 unexploded bombs is still as real as it was in the war.
During the Second World War, it was the highly dangerous task of bomb disposal who showed great courage in the face of danger to make bombs safe. Today there are still thousands of unexploded bombs hidden away or buried across Bristol, and it is the men and women of the bomb disposal teams that risk their lives every day so we can live ours. The Danger UXB London book, was written to remember those who are still fighting the second World War air raids across Bristol. |
For those of you collectors, magnet fishermen or metal detectorists, I run a "Is It Safe prrogram" for more information

The Mobile Museum comes to you and can be set up either indoors or outdoors, displays includes hands on exhibits to actually pick up and feel. None of the hidden away behind glass cabinets our displays include Air Raids & Bomb Disposal and the ARP, Evacuation and Rationing as well as make do and mend.
