​Regardless whether Ordnance has been buried in the ground or been underwater for 80 plus years you should NEVER assume it is safe.
If you are in any doubt about an item in your posesion then you should contact a EOD professional & qualified person.
If you call the Police they will bring in the Bomb Squad, and quite literally your relic will be blown up.
All ammunition & ordnance in your collection should be treated as being live & dangerous until it has been 100% proven otherwise, and Free From Explosive. (F.F.E.) certificate issued. 

The Danger UXB "Is It Safe" demonstration and talk, is hands on informative and entertaining. Its aim is to help enthusisasts understand the risks of finding live ordnance and how dangerous it is, help identify relics and stay safe.

​The first part of the Danger UXB demonstration, looks at all types of ordnance both Allied and German that are likly to be found in the UK, from airdropped bombs and fuzes, Mortars, Grenades, artillery Shells and ammunition etc.

This is when you can take a look at as well as handle inert ordnance, helping you to identify what you may already have or what you may find in the future.

The second part of the Demonstration, is how we identify if the items found are F.F.E.  or not, and the techniques for proving it.

The third part of the demonstration, looks at Bomb Disposal since the war. how we make bombs safe and look at the equipment used.

Then its your turn to a ww2 bomb disposal officer and have a go at defusing a 50Kg bomb,

Finally Its time for open disscusion and advice.
